MTF Technik's conveyor belts with linear buffers are an intelligent and streamlined solution for applications where width is very limited and, for example, containers need to be filled directly at the production machine. In these cases, the buffer must primarily utilize the available length. This buffer solution uses either conveyor belts alone or conveyor belts in combination with roller conveyors, which are placed one behind the other in the longitudinal direction.
The empty containers are fed into the conveyor belt at the inlet and filled in the middle of the buffer section. The remaining conveyor section is then available for the filled containers. If required, an additional short conveyor belt with a scale can be integrated at the loading station, e.g., to determine the number of pieces via weight conversion. The integration of additional peripherals or special feeding technology is also possible, e.g., to avoid spillage. Smaller, more compact systems offer the advantage that they can be easily moved, thus providing machine operators with good access to the production machine – e.g., during changeovers. Adjustable side guides on the linear buffer offer additional flexibility, as different container sizes can be guided and processed securely. There are virtually no limits to the complexity involved. From a simple straight conveyor belt to a fully integrated system with extensive control functions, everything is possible here. Comprehensive sensors and customized controls ensure maximum process reliability, displaying operating conditions (buffer full, no empty containers, last container being filled, etc.). Corresponding signal lights, displays, or acoustic alarms provide targeted information to the operators.
