The MTF Technik Multi-Rounder swivel or rotary distributor consists of a motor-driven chute mounted on a frame with a pivoting bearing. Parts fed into the chute above the pivot point slide into containers arranged in a circle around the pivot point. The chute is made of rigid PVC as standard, but can also be made of stainless steel if required.

As a freestanding unit, the rotary distributor is mounted on its own base frame. This makes the unit highly flexible and easy to deploy at various locations. As an attachment, the distributor is mounted directly below the outlet of a conveyor belt and firmly connected to it. This means that supply and distribution are a single unit and can be controlled directly together.

Depending on the control system and local conditions, the rotary distributor can make a complete 360° rotation or simply swivel back and forth within a specified range, moving to different positions. The positions can be set using cams. This allows intermediate positions to be reached in larger containers to avoid cones of material.

The control system used can be either a standard control system that can process counting pulses or that moves to the next filling position after a configurable time. This control system can also be used to define running, pause, and stopping times for a feed conveyor belt. If operating states – e.g., via signal lights or acoustic detectors – are to be displayed, or if special functions are required, a freely programmable PLC controller is used.
