The pneumatic sliding buffer from MTF Technik is a particularly compact and efficient solution for filling what is typically two containers – ideal for production or packaging machines with limited space in the discharge area.
A special feature of this buffer solution is its extremely low installation height, which allows it to be placed directly in the base area of the machine. This makes the sliding buffer ideal for use under very low material discharge chutes – for example, in injection molding machines with horizontal discharge conveyors or under selection gates. The containers rest on a stainless steel sliding surface positioned directly on the floor. This enables particularly space-saving integration without the need for additional substructures.
The pneumatic sliding mechanism moves the containers precisely between the defined filling positions. This allows one container to be filled while the other is available for exchange or further transport. This automatic changeover function increases efficiency and significantly reduces downtime in the production process.
Depending on the application, the sliding buffer can be controlled directly via the on-site machine control system. This allows the system to be seamlessly integrated into existing system concepts and ensures simple, reliable handling.
The wheels integrated into the sliding buffer enable effortless transport. This allows the unit to be easily positioned and moved to other locations as needed.
If necessary, the cylinder can also move to intermediate positions, for example, to avoid pile-up cones or to fill additional containers if necessary. Depending on customer requirements, the sliding buffer can be further customized, e.g., with special control functions, enclosures, additional safety devices, etc.
Thanks to its compact design, robust stainless steel sliding surface, and flexible control options, the pneumatic sliding buffer is an ideal solution for optimizing material flow – especially wherever the available space below discharge belts is limited and reliable container changing without manual intervention is required.
