Type IS small conveyor belts can be used for a wide variety of applications. Due to the high temperature resistance of the wire mesh belt (up to 250°C), these conveyor belts are used, for example, as cooling sections. By using appropriately air-permeable belts in conjunction with optional fans and adjusted belt speeds, good cooling of the parts can be achieved.

The resistance to oils and greases makes the wire mesh belts ideal for moving parts in the stamping industry, e.g., for transporting parts from narrow tool shafts.

In the plastics industry, these small conveyor belts can also be used when the highest demands are placed on the dissipation of static charges from the parts, as the belts are accordingly conductive.
