Both belt bends are independently adjustable and continuously adjustable between 0° and 60°. A unique feature worldwide is that the belt tension remains constant across this entire adjustment range. This is achieved via mechanical sliders that precisely move the deflection roller in the lower feed area.

In conjunction with the high-quality MTF conveyor belts, the belt tension compensation ensures that belt buckling is minimized and thus wear is prevented. A Z-shaped conveyor belt can be converted into a straight conveyor belt in just a few seconds. This is achieved using mechanical sliders that precisely move the deflection roller in the lower feed area. Z-shaped angled conveyor belts with a low feed height are often equipped with a type HB 310 base frame. The flat belt is held in the base frame, while the steep belt is supported by two gas pressure springs to allow for convenient angle adjustment. The double support in the steep belt ensures stability – especially with wider conveyor belts or greater loads.

In this version, they are used as chip conveyors in machine tools where the conveyor belt is integrated into the machine frame. Similar applications can also be found in the recycling sector for the disposal of paper or cardboard scraps or for the transport of punching waste to a container. This conveyor belt specification is also suitable for use in the plastics industry in injection molding machines with low shaft heights or in combination with selector gates mounted below the mold, thus limiting the available space.

Z-shaped conveyor belts of type ZL-HB 310 are equipped as standard with conically turned drive and deflection pulleys. This ensures a self-centering effect of the conveyor belts, eliminating the need for mechanical guides. The belts have space on the sides of the profiles. This minimizes wear. and abrasion are effectively reduced and the service life of the conveyor belts is increased.
