The Z-shaped angled conveyor belts of type ZL-HB 310 combine all the conveyor technology know-how gained from five decades of experience and countless projects. Both belt bends are independent of each other and each infinitely adjustable between 0° and 60°. A unique feature worldwide is that the belt tension remains constant across this entire adjustment range. This is achieved via mechanical sliders that precisely move the deflection pulley in the lower feed area.
In conjunction with the high-quality MTF conveyor belts, the belt tension compensation ensures that belt bulging is minimized and thus wear is prevented. A Z-shaped conveyor belt can thus be converted into a straight conveyor belt in just a few seconds. This is achieved using mechanical sliders that precisely move the deflection roller in the lower infeed area. Z-shaped angled conveyor belts with a low infeed height are often fitted with a base frame type HB 310. Here, the flat belt is held within the base frame, while the steep belt is supported by two gas springs to allow for convenient angle adjustment. The double support in the steep belt ensures stability – especially with wider conveyor belts or heavier loads. In this version, it is used as a feeder in machine tools where the conveyor belt is integrated into the machine frame. Similar applications can be found in the recycling sector for disposing of paper or cardboard scraps or for transporting die-cut waste into a container. This conveyor belt specification is also suitable for use in the plastics industry in injection molding machines with low chamber heights or in combination with sorting diverters mounted below the mold, thus restricting the available space. As standard, the ZL-HB 310 Z-type conveyor belts are equipped with tapered drive and idler rollers. This ensures a self-centering effect of the conveyor belts, eliminating the need for mechanical guides. The belts have lateral clearance within the profiles. This reduces wear. and effectively reduces abrasion and increases the service life of the conveyor belts.
A wide variety of conveyor belts made of different materials with different surface structures and properties from the MTF Technik standard range are available and can be mounted on these devices. Additional special belts can be provided if required. The Multi-Tech angle conveyor belts type ZL-HB 310 can be equipped with five different drive units, which, in combination with various gear reductions and controls, ensure optimal adaptation to the conveying task. Building on the basic equipment, a wide range of accessories and components such as metal detectors, fans, cooling systems, heaters, ionization devices, conveyor belt covers, sensors, chutes, separating attachments, etc., can be added.
