The Z-shaped angled conveyor belts of type ZLF-LD 010 combine all the conveyor technology know-how gained from five decades of experience and countless projects. Both belt bends are independent of each other and each infinitely adjustable between 0° and 60°. A globally unique feature is that the belt tension remains constant across this entire adjustment range. This is achieved via mechanical sliders that precisely move the deflection pulley in the lower feed area.
In conjunction with the high-quality MTF conveyor belts, the belt tension compensation ensures that belt bulging is minimized and thus wear is prevented. A Z-conveyor can thus be converted into a straight conveyor in just a few seconds. This is achieved using mechanical sliders that precisely move the deflection roller in the lower infeed area. When space is very limited for transporting parts vertically, Z-conveyors with fixed 75° bends are often used. To ensure stability even at such extreme angles, the LD 010 base frame is recommended in many cases. Of course, the base frame can also be used for standard Z-conveyors with an angle adjustment range between 0° and 60°. The base frame is attached to the lower grooves of the conveyor belt guide profiles. Depending on the application, additional longitudinal, diagonal, and transverse braces can be used to ensure stability at all times. This is particularly important for larger conveyor belts. Conveyors of the design shown are used in many different industries, such as the plastics industry, stamping and forming technology, for supplying and disposing of materials for assembly machines or packaging systems, and for linking several consecutive processing steps. Depending on the task, the belts, cleats, drive unit, and underframe design are selected to achieve optimal conveying results. In steep conveyor applications, covers made of polycarbonate, but also of aluminum, stainless steel, or similar materials, are often used at steep conveying angles to safely guide any parts that might fall back. For sensitive parts, additional flexible covers can be mounted in the steep belt area to completely prevent the parts from falling back. A wide variety of conveyor belts made of different materials with different surface structures and properties from the MTF Technik standard range are available and can be mounted on these devices. Additional special belts can be provided if required. The Multi-Tech angle conveyor belts type ZLF-LD 010 can be equipped with five different drive units, which, in combination with various gear reductions and controls, ensure optimal adaptation to the conveying task. Building on the basic equipment, a wide range of accessories and components such as metal detectors, fans, cooling systems, heaters, ionization devices, conveyor belt covers, sensors, chutes, separating attachments, etc., can be added.
