Multi-Tech wire belt conveyors of type GS-LD 120 are characterized by a stable undercarriage with a closed base frame, on which the supports made of anodized aluminum profiles are mounted. The conveyor belt body is attached to the supports in the lateral grooves by means of sturdy cast aluminum brackets. This allows for easy height and tilt adjustment while maximizing the use of the support length, meaning a large height adjustment range can be achieved. The LD 120 base frame is typically used with conveyor belts up to approximately 3,000 mm long and 1,000 mm wide. In this configuration, wire mesh conveyors are often used as discharge conveyors from assembly cells or as storage conveyors for robots. In combination with drip trays mounted beneath the belt, these conveyor belts are also used as a drip tray for liquid-wetted components. Furthermore, conveyor belts of this design also serve as heating or cooling sections – in this case, heating elements or fans/ventilators/air conditioning units, for example, can be used.
