The SSA 400-3 roller separator is a particularly versatile disc separator attachment, specifically designed for separating components that are difficult to separate. The SSA 400 separator attachment is available in various widths – typically for conveyor belt widths between 200 and 500 mm – and can be easily retrofitted to both MTF conveyor belts and equipment from other manufacturers. A typical application is its combination with an NL-HE 020 angle conveyor belt. The separator configuration can be flexibly adapted: Depending on the requirements, 1, 2, or 3 disc rollers are available, with the number, spacing, and positioning of the disc segments being freely selectable. This allows for precise adjustment to a wide variety of parts, especially delicate, long, or adhesive parts that are difficult to handle with conventional separation methods. The drive is powered by an integrated drum motor that operates independently of the conveyor belt. The speed is adjustable in 15 steps from 8 to 140 rpm, allowing the separation speed to be optimally adapted to the material properties. The integrated overload protection safeguards both the machine and the operator in case of blockages or jams. The planetary geared motor ensures particularly efficient and durable operation with minimal energy consumption. Another advantage is the tool-free adjustment of the separation gap. This can be changed in seconds, enabling rapid product changeovers without lengthy downtimes. This makes the SSA 400-3 ideally suited for manufacturing environments with varying part sizes or different material pairings. For applications with higher part throughput or more complex geometries, the system is also available as a floor-standing unit under the name SESSA 600-3. This variant is particularly suitable for separating long, slender parts or small dimensions, as are frequently found in medical technology, electronics, or precision mechanics. The standard separation lengths are 600 mm and 800 mm.
