The TA 400-3 roller separator is a versatile and powerful roller separator attachment specifically designed for separating injection-molded parts and blanks in plastic injection molding applications. Its modular design and flexible configuration allow the separator to be precisely adapted to different part geometries and production requirements. It is ideally suited for applications where parts with the same height but different surface areas need to be separated.

Separation is achieved via one, two, or three rotating separating rollers, depending on the model and requirements – as is the case with the TA 400-3, which is equipped with three separating rollers.

The larger parts, usually the nozzles, are conveyed by the rotating rollers over a discharge tray, while the smaller, often more delicate, injection-molded parts fall through the gaps between the rollers and are thus collected separately. The separator is available in standard widths of 400, 600, or 800 mm and can be easily integrated into existing systems depending on the belt width and available space. A special feature of this system is the surface design of the separating rollers: depending on the requirements, smooth, studded, or heavily textured rollers are available. Optionally, the rollers can also be equipped with spikes in heights of 20 or 40 mm. These improve the handling of larger parts and ensure effective separation – even with difficult or sticky materials. The drive is provided by an integrated drum motor that operates independently of the conveyor belt. This allows the parts on the conveyor belt to cool down slowly while the separating rollers run at optimal speed. The speed is adjustable in 15 steps from 8 to 140 rpm, enabling precise adjustment to the material being separated. An energy-saving planetary gearbox ensures high efficiency and long-lasting, low-maintenance operation. The separating gap between the rollers can be adjusted without tools in just a few seconds, enabling quick product changes and high flexibility during operation. Even with different part geometries or changing production runs, the system can be optimally adapted in just a few steps. To protect operating personnel and ensure an uninterrupted process, the separator is equipped with integrated overload protection. This prevents the rollers from becoming blocked by jammed parts and simultaneously prevents injuries.
