The roller separator type TA 400-3 is a versatile and powerful separating roller attachment, specially developed for separating molded parts and sprues in plastic injection molding applications. Thanks to its modular design and flexible configuration, the separator can be precisely adapted to different part geometries and production requirements. It is ideal for applications where parts of the same height but with different surface areas must be separated.

Separation is achieved via one, two, or three rotating separating rollers, depending on the model and requirements – such as the type TA 400-3, which is equipped with three separating rollers. The larger parts, usually the nozzles, are conveyed by the rotating rollers over a discharge plate, while the smaller, usually more delicate molded parts fall through the gaps between the rollers and are thus collected separately. The separator is available in 400, 600, or 800 mm widths as standard and can be easily integrated into existing systems depending on the belt width and available space.

A special feature of this system is the surface design of the separating rollers: Smooth, dimpled, or heavily textured rollers are available depending on requirements. Optionally, the rollers can be equipped with spikes in heights of 20 or 40 mm. These improve the conveyance of larger parts and ensure effective separation – even with difficult or sticky materials.

The drive is provided by an integrated drum motor that operates independently of the conveyor belt. This allows the parts to cool slowly on the conveyor belt while the separation rollers run at the optimal speed. The speed can be adjusted in 15 steps from 8 to 140 rpm, allowing precise adjustment to the material to be separated. An energy-saving planetary gear system ensures high efficiency and long-lasting, low-maintenance operation.

The separation gap between the rollers can be adjusted without tools and within seconds, enabling quick product changes and high flexibility during operation. Even for different part geometries or changing production batches, the system can be optimally adapted in just a few steps.

To protect operating personnel and ensure a trouble-free process, the separator is equipped with integrated overload protection. This prevents the rollers from becoming blocked by jammed parts and simultaneously prevents injuries. Retrofitting to existing conveyor belts is also possible without any problems – both to MTF conveyor technology and conveyor belts from other manufacturers. The compact design and flexible installation make the TA 400-3 the ideal retrofit solution for existing production lines.
