Resource-efficient production and sustainable practices
Sustainability is not just a current trend or an empty phrase for MTF Technik. The responsible use of resources and our environment has always been a central guiding principle of our actions and is linked to economic efficiency, reason and integrity.
Our products are high quality and designed for durability. When designing our conveyor belts, we make sure that they can be used by our customers for a long time with minimal wear and tear. Even 50-year-old devices can still be repaired at MTF Technik.
We have always been committed to local sourcing. Most of our materials and services are sourced regionally. Only 3% of our total purchasing volume comes from suppliers located more than 500 km from our site. This avoids unnecessary transport.
We continuously invest in environmentally friendly technologies and obtain 100% of our electricity from renewable energy sources, including our photovoltaic system. In addition, our company's energy consumption is significantly reduced by an LED lighting system, motion and presence detectors and efficient heating technology.
The careful maintenance and servicing of our machines and systems also contributes to sustainability.
Furthermore, treating our customers, suppliers, employees and society in a reasonable, fair, sustainable and honest manner has always been a fundamental principle of our business activities.
We underline our social responsibility in our region by regularly supporting local associations and social institutions. We also regularly support supra-regional charitable organisations with donations.
Compliance with laws, regulations and general ethical principles is also a matter of course for us. We have committed ourselves to this in our Code of Conduct.
