Interlinking production facilities using conveyor technology

Efficient material flow between different processing steps

Safe and gentle transport of parts throughout the entire manufacturing process

Efficient manufacturing means that not only the individual manufacturing process, but also the material flow between different production steps must be economical and therefore usually automated.

There is no standard solution here, only highly individual and tailor-made solutions that must be specifically adapted to the respective task, the material to be conveyed and the general conditions. MTF Technik has many years of experience in the planning and implementation of a wide variety of conveyor systems in various industries.

Whether it's the conveying of medical technology articles in clean rooms or the transport of oily gear parts – we develop work with you to develop a system that ensures maximum availability, component protection and process reliability. Our extensive modular system of conveyor technology, separation devices and automation solutions provides a broad basis for this, which can then be adapted to customer specifications and expanded with special components.

Customised solutions for your production

In industrial environments, automating material flows is becoming increasingly important. A shortage of skilled workers and high personnel costs, as well as quality considerations and spatial constraints, are leading to more and more production facilities being interconnected.

In integrated production, for example, production machines are linked to several assembly lines, whose products must then be transferred to packaging machines. MTF Technik has frequently been tasked with such projects over the past 50 years and has implemented customised conveyor, buffer, separation and distribution solutions.

The interlinking often has the special feature that existing spatial conditions play a major role. Travel routes, lighting strips, media lines, crane tracks, ventilation outlets, safety areas, existing production machines, etc. are typical disruptive factors that our technicians take into account during the planning stage.

This often results in designs in which individual components are also attached to walls or suspended from the hall ceilings. MTF Technik offers appropriate support in planning such projects and has experienced fitters to ensure implementation in the form of on-site installation and commissioning.

MTF Technik also clarifies electrical interfaces and plans and integrates any control components. We work with your technicians to check which signals are available or need to be exchanged, taking into account the requirements for operating terminals and human-machine interfaces, etc. On-site cabling and electrical commissioning are also part of our range of services.

We would be happy to provide you with personal advice for your individual requirements.

Questions and answers about Interlinking of systems

Can conveyor technology components also be suspended from the ceiling?

Yes. MTF Technik is regularly confronted with such tasks and designs suitable suspension systems for conveyor technology. The building statics are checked by the customer.

How are existing production facilities connected to a conveyor system?

During planning and project management, the existing and relevant production facilities and interference edges are first recorded in the layout. Ideally, the customer already has a production layout with all machines and systems. This simplifies planning enormously. If this is not available, MTF Technik records the essential transfer points and interference edges in a constructive manner and transfers them to the drawing. This layout then serves as the basis for all further planning with regard to system interlinking.

The next step is to clarify the electrical interfaces. Which part of the system provides which signals or requires signals? Our electricians clarify this in advance and describe it in detail, right down to the PIN assignment of the connectors.
