The AUA 202 carousel depot station is used for efficient part counting and buffering in sacks, bags, crates, or cartons.
It consists of a round turntable mounted on a stable ball bearing race and driven from below by a friction wheel. Container holders are then fixed to the turntable and rotate accordingly. The containers are filled at a fixed position, where they are provided by the synchronized rotation.
The diameter, the materials used, the number and shape of the holders for the containers to be filled, as well as the control system, are designed by MTF Technik specifically for each customer based on the respective task.
This container changer is individually configured based on standardized or successfully implemented solutions. For example, For example, stainless steel turntables and frames are used in cleanroom applications, while for applications involving technical parts, the turntable can be made of wood and the base frame of powder-coated steel.
Depending on the desired buffer capacity and the size of the containers, the diameter of the turntables can vary between approximately 800 mm and almost 2,000 mm. The container holders can be mounted directly on the turntable or at a specified working height – if necessary, even in several levels above one another to achieve the greatest possible buffer capacity within a given footprint. The design of the holders in terms of shape, material, and functionality can be customized to the highest degree.
The control system is also individually designed at MTF Technik. From a simple counting control with a few basic functions to custom-designed and programmed PLC controls, almost anything is possible. This means that special interfaces to existing production or peripheral systems can be considered, as can special operator terminals, display signals, safety architectures, or desired control manufacturers.
