Suitable for: Bulk material, non-tangling material
capacity: low buffer capacity
execution: Design tailored to the specific requirements of each customer
MTF Technik's bunker conveyors are used for the short-term buffering of various bulk materials. These are primarily belt conveyors or steel hinge conveyors equipped with a large feed hopper. The feed hopper is individually designed, constructed, and manufactured according to customer requirements.
These bunker or metering conveyors are mainly used as feed storage for production, assembly, or packaging machines. They feed the products in metered quantities to the respective process.
The amount of material fed can be controlled via appropriate interfaces between the downstream process and the conveyor belt. This allows operators to fill larger quantities of material at once into the feed hopper of the bunker conveyor belt, which then operates autonomously for extended periods, supplying the downstream process. The design of the conveyor belts with regard to length, width, hopper volume, belt type, materials, underframe design, drive, sensors, and control components is customized based on the specific customer requirements. Particular attention is paid to the geometry of the components when designing the hopper geometry. To prevent jamming or bridging. For particularly critical conveyed materials, lifting elements can also be inserted into the hopper to break up bridging and enable metered conveying. The MTF bunker conveyor belts are therefore reliable aids in the automation of production processes. They ensure efficient material supply and enable machine autonomy, thus relieving operators of logistical tasks.
