Task: Conveying different plastic parts in parallel in different directions

Various plastic parts are produced on an injection molding machine at an automotive supplier. These are often right/left parts or larger products.

The products will be placed on a conveyor belt by robots.

The robot switches on a 400V socket to control the conveyor belt.

When right and left parts are produced, a mix-up during manual parts inspection must be reliably prevented.

Solution: Conveyor belts that butt into each other laterally and operate in reverse

Two GL conveyor belts abutting laterally, with no side guide on the abutment surface and an 80mm high side guide on the outside.

Both belts feature constant belt speed drives with a manual switch for reversing the direction.

The conveyor belts are designed for continuous reversing operation. This is achieved through forced guidance of the running surfaces.

When producing right and left parts, the conveyor belts run in opposite directions, so the parts are delivered to different locations. This prevents any unwanted mix-ups.

When producing large parts, the conveyor belts run in the same direction.

Both conveyor belts are mounted on a single base and firmly connected to each other. This allows for a very compact unit.

The conveyor belts are equipped with highly efficient running surfaces (MTF No. 1) upon customer request.
