Encapsulated transport of plastic parts
Task: Transport of sensitive plastic parts from production to packaging
Sensitive plastic parts (automotive) are to be conveyed from an injection molding machine to the final packaging using an angled conveyor belt.
Starting parts and rejects should be removed separately.
The parts must not be damaged or soiled during transport.
No parts may fall onto the floor.
The setup of all required components must be reproducible (high standardization in manufacturing, avoidance of setup errors).
Solution: Material distribution with encapsulated angled conveyor belt and wide enclosed devices
A 2-way reject chute for installation directly under the tool of the injection molding machine with a fully encapsulated discharge chute.
Inside the reject chute, cascades of plastic are mounted to reduce the falling speed of the parts.
The switching flap inside the reject chute is made of plastic in order to achieve minimal gap dimensions between the flap and the reject chute body.
L-shaped angle conveyor belt type NL-LD 120 in fully encapsulated design (belt cover above made of PET, belt cover below the belt made of anodized aluminum) for transporting the parts into a separation drum
Belt with longitudinal ribs, funnel with special sealing lips to prevent parts from jamming.
A stainless steel drawer is mounted below the flat belt area to catch any particles that may adhere due to static electricity.
Completely enclosed back wall of the angled conveyor belt
Stainless steel perforated drum type 305 B with pluggable PET cover (not mounted in the photo)
Outlet reduction below the separating drum with flexible PU strips for conveying the parts into the customer container
The components are bolted together using adjustable diagonal braces. The entire unit is also firmly connected to the injection molding machine.
