Multi Separator for part separation
Task: Separation and counting of injection-molded parts for the electrical industry
Plastic injection-molded parts (cable glands and accessories) should be separated and counted
The counting tolerance should be +/- 1%
Counting via machine pulses is not possible because process reliability in the injection molding process cannot be guaranteed (blocked mold cavities, etc.).

Use of a special multi-separator with special light barrier
An adjustable PE bar is installed in the feed area to guide the parts to the beginning of the screw
The screw has spikes in the feed area to loosen and separate the parts. The PE bar also serves as a scraper to remove any entanglements.
There are no spikes attached to the outlet of the screw to ensure smooth transport
The separator's base frame is adjustable along two axes to ensure optimal adjustment to different products. It is also height-adjustable.
The screw rotation is controlled via a frequency converter. This can be parameterized so that, for example, when 99% fill is reached, the speed is reduced to enable fine dosing.
At the end of the screw conveyor, the parts fall through a special light barrier, which counts the parts in free fall
The counting pulses are evaluated in a separate control system (e.g. Siemens Logo)
The device can of course also be used as a separator without the light barrier and the PE strip
