Task: Buffering of medical packaging in cleanrooms using RFID
A manufacturer of plastic packaging for the pharmaceutical industry wants to buffer products from production in aluminum containers in an ISO 8 cleanroom.
The aim is to create a capacity of 3 containers, each with a base area of 810 x 430 mm.
Three different container types with heights of 210 / 330 / 490 mm are used, to which RFID transponders are attached.
The feed height should be constant for all containers (transfer from machine).
The RFID transponders should first be erased and then re-encoded with the corresponding batch information.
The container fill level should be detected via a fill level sensor (container full / empty).
Solution: Carousel depot station with adjustable container holder and RFID reader
Special design system with stainless steel base plate and height-adjustable container mount
Pneumatically actuated RFID read/write head for querying the transmitter on the containers
Container holder and RFID read/write head are height-adjustable to adapt to different container heights.
Pneumatic centering device below the rotary table to ensure reproducible stop positions
The RFID information is transferred to the read/write device via an existing on-site interface.
