The following design represents a possible, exemplary system configuration in a cleanroom – individually developed for the requirements of a medical technology production environment. Depending on customer specifications, spatial conditions, and process requirements, the design and technology of these conveying solutions can vary considerably.

In this example, plastic parts from two injection molding machines are conveyed in a space-saving manner to a central assembly machine in a cleanroom. The challenge: very limited space, the need to keep passageways clear, and the optional intermediate buffering of the parts in boxes. After manufacturing, the parts are transferred to the conveying section via existing MTF conveyor belts with separator attachment and vibrating trough (including ionization unit). The specially developed transport solution begins there with:

  • Reversible I-Tech mini conveyors
  • Pneumatically controlled chutes
  • Inclined conveyors with 75° bends
  • Special cleated belts and fall arresters for reverse protection
  • Complete polycarbonate cover for cleanroom suitability
  • Light barriers for jam monitoring
  • Special underframes for flexible placement
  • Connection to a Siemens S7 control system with interface for operational data acquisition

The upper inclined conveyor sections are additionally mounted on the hall ceiling to save space.

This solution This illustrates how individual requirements in cleanroom environments can be implemented efficiently and safely with customized conveying technology – always project-specific and never as a standard solution.
