Task: Filling and transporting containers with metal parts

Plastic containers are to be filled with metal parts.

A filled container measuring 400 x 300 mm weighs a maximum of 20 kg, resulting in a maximum surface load of approximately 170 kg/m².

The containers have different dimensions (400x300mm and 300x200mm), so two or four containers are to be transported in parallel on a buffer belt towards the filling position.

There is only one filling position, so the containers must be fed in individually according to their size.

Once filled, containers are to be transported away via a roller conveyor.

In the area of ​​the discharge position, a roller conveyor is arranged in line with the conveyor belt to minimize belt wear caused by discharge processes.

The filling takes place on the long roller conveyor, which is mounted parallel to the feed belt.

A rodless pneumatic cylinder with five end positions enables individual feeding of the containers to the filling station depending on the container size.

At the filling station, the rollers are blocked by a pneumatic cylinder until an entire row of containers is filled. The containers then roll parallel to each other towards the end of the roller conveyor.
