Whenever complex, three-dimensional parts can "wind" through the separation gaps of roller separation drums or perforated drums, sleeve separation drums (also called hedgehog drums) offer a perfect solution. The sleeve tubes welded onto the outside of the perforated cage reliably ensure a snag-free and safe separation result.

Components that could otherwise wind through gaps or holes only penetrate the sleeve tubes to a certain point and then fall back into the separation area of the drum cage. These sleeve separation drums are therefore particularly suitable for separating very complex, varying part geometries.

The drum cages and sleeve tubes are made entirely of stainless steel, so these separation drums can also be used in cleanroom environments. Depending on the specific task, these separation drums can be designed with separation lengths of 700 mm, but optionally also 500 mm, 1,000 mm, or 1,200 mm.

The design of the hole and sleeve tube geometries, the hole spacing, and the length of the sleeve tubes are completely customized depending on the material to be separated. If necessary, the drum cage can also be divided into several zones with different hole geometries, allowing more than two different products to be sorted from one another.

The drum cage rests loosely on the base frame and can easily be exchanged for other drum cages (other sleeve separator drum cages, perforated cages, roller cages, rectangular cages). This allows a maximum range of parts to be covered.

These special separator drums are used primarily in the plastics injection molding industry or in die casting for separating sprues from finished parts and represent, once again, the customer-specific design of MTF-Technik devices.

Optimal separation results even with very complex part geometries: "Hedgehog spines" prevent the parts from getting caught

Height and inclination of the drums can be easily and continuously adjusted

Stable double-column base frame with maximum space for receiving containers below the drum cage

High-quality, high-performance and high-torque planetary gear motors for constant or continuously variable drum speeds

Pivoting inlet chute with cushioning pad made of polyamide

Cladding and functional panels made of anodized aluminum or galvanized sheet steel (V2A on request)
